Linear Bush Vs. Linear Guide.

between linear bushings and linear guides. Each of these products has a number
of options, and each manufacturer tends to use creative marketing descriptions
to drive product purchases and increase confusion. Most of this potential
confusion belongs to the linear guide camp, so let's first look at the linear
bushing.
Linear
Bush:-
If you need a quick and easy way to promote a linear motion
profile, it is best to choose a linear bushing,
especially if there are no tolerance or precision requirements. Typically, the
two shafts are linear bushings that slide along the shaft and are used to
support the drive carriage. Shaft size must be adjusted to support load within
allowable deflection tolerance. Too much weight and the axle bends causing
position errors. The hub to axle interface is also relatively loose, which can
lead to accuracy and repeatability issues. However, these errors are generally
as small as a thousandth of an inch. Installation and maintenance are also very
cheap compared to other options.

Linear Guide:-
For demanding applications, there are generally difficult
cost solutions. Linear guides
offer high load capacity and high rigidity for two main reasons:

Ball bearings generally sit in R or V grooves
rather than using regular contacts, and some manufacturers require 13 times the
load capacity.
2.
The guide is mounted directly on the bracket, so
there is no deflection. Even a small linear guide (1 "x 1.5") can
withstand dynamic loads of approximately 2,000 pounds.
Linear guidance is also very accurate. The error is
generally measured in the micrometer range (μm). Adding preload to the guide
can improve accuracy and repeatability. Instead of a small gap between the race
and the ball bearing,
interference fit is used.
Proper lubrication is essential to maintain low friction,
but additional stiffness can make a difference. The combination of these
elements makes the guide very smooth to operate.

Disadvantages
- Higher cost
- High maintenance issues
If you need high precision or high load capacity, nothing is
better than a linear guide. However, if you are looking for a way to push the
mechanism back and forth, linear bushings offer an increasingly cheaper
alternative.
